We are proud to honor your service. As part of our Salute to Service celebration, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Pat Tillman Veterans Center, and the Office for Veteran and Military Academic Engagement are hosting a reception for all faculty and staff active duty military and veterans as a thank you for your commitment to our great nation.
Southwest corner of Orange and McAllister
Colonel Wanda Wright, Director of the AZ Department of Veterans’ Services, and Brigadier General Richard Gregg Maxon, Judge Pro Tem, East Valley Regional Veterans Treatment Court, will share their stories of service through service. Join us for light refreshments as you browse photographs from the Veteran Vision Project by ASU alumnus Devin Mitchell. The project captures the striking diversity of veterans and their unique experiences in uniform as well as their lives after military service. This year
Mitchell focused on veterans who have served either in the Peace Corps or in military service, and how national service inspires continuing, lifelong service. Receive a free Salute to Service T-shirt and enter for a chance to win tickets to this year’s Salute to Service football game on Nov. 10 (ASU vs. UCLA).
Paid visitor parking is available in the Rural Road parking structure and Lot 44 (2 hour limit). Anyone with an
ASU ADA license plate can park in Lot 41 (located on the west side of Armstrong Hall). Paid parking is also available for non-ASU ADA license plate holders in the same lot (41).

Dear AFA Members, Partners, and Supporters,
My name is Caroline Jok, and I have the honor of serving of taking on the Chapter President position in the interim until we have elections. I am a first semester Graduate student at Embry-Riddle studying Security and Intelligence. I did my undergrad at George Washington University in our Nation’s Capital.
During my time in D.C. I worked on the Hill, at the National Defense University College of International Security Affairs, as a contractor for the Marine Corps, sat on the Air Force Association’s Nation’s Capital Chapter Executive Board, worked at AFA Headquarters – and so much more. Throughout all of this, Silver Wings and the AFA were the catalysts to my involvement in defense.
Recently, the Prescott-Goldwater Chapter has faced stagnation and a lack of member involvement. AFA has done so much for me, and the mission of Educating about, Advocating for, and Supporting Air Power and our communities is crucial, now more than ever as our Air Force, Department of Defense, and Country are facing a changing environment. So, our chapter is going to see changes as well, and we want you to come along!
This will be a Brown Bag meeting, so feel free to bring your own lunch!
During this meeting we will hold official chapter elections to fill the Chapter Executive Board, hear from a guest speaker, talk about the new direction of the chapter, and swear in the new officers. We would love to see you there!
I am excited for the road that lies ahead! If you have any questions or to RSVP, I can be reached at 832.451.9828 or via email at ce.jok15@gmail.com.
Very Respectfully,
Caroline E. Jok
Prescott-Goldwater AFA Chapter
